Can an Emotional Support Animal Really Help During Depression?

I’ve been thinking about how different people cope with depression and how important it is to find the right kind of support. For some people, therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, and support from loved ones can help. For others, having an animal companion may provide comfort, structure, and a sense of connection during difficult times.
While researching emotional support animals, I learned more about how the process works and found My ESA Therapist helpful in understanding that an ESA is based on a person’s mental health needs and a proper evaluation from a licensed mental health professional.
I’d like to hear from people who have experienced this.
